I've spent more than thirty years working inside systems.

Fashion systems.
Leadership systems.
Workplace systems.

I've seen extraordinary things and met extraordinary people. I've also spent much of my life quietly asking myself the same question.

Surely there's another way?

This series started with fashion, but I don't think it was ever really about fashion.

It's been about questioning the things we've quietly accepted for too long.

That discomfort is normal.
That leadership has to be hard.
That kindness is weakness.
That work should come before life.
That women's health should be hidden.
That businesses exist simply to make profit.
And that we should mould ourselves to fit systems that no longer serve us.

I've spent much of my life trying to fit into systems.
And the last five years trying to build a different one.

Along the way, I've learnt some things.

I believe fashion can be a force for good.
I believe leadership should help people flourish.
I believe women deserve to feel comfortable in their own bodies.
I believe work should support life and not compete with it.
I believe kindness isn't weakness.
I believe businesses should give something back.
I believe we're all connected.
I believe positive energy creates positive energy.
I believe human beings flourish when they're seen, valued and trusted.
And I believe we can all win.

I've also come to believe that environments matter more than we perhaps realise.

They shape how we feel.
How we think.
How we lead.
How we treat one another.

And ultimately, who we become.

I don't believe we're here simply to build businesses.
I believe we're here to build communities, environments and systems that help people flourish.

Systems that are kinder.
Softer.
More human.
More connected.
Systems that give, rather than simply take.

And perhaps that's what I've really been writing about all along.

Not fashion.
Not bras.
Not workplaces.

People.

And the world we're collectively choosing to build for one another.

Five years ago, I walked away from my old career because something didn't feel right anymore.

I didn't know exactly what I was walking towards.
I simply knew I couldn't stay where I was.

Today, I know much more clearly what I'm walking towards.

Better systems.
Kinder systems.
More human systems.

Systems that help people flourish.
Systems where women's health matters.
Systems where businesses are forces for good.
Systems that reconnect us with ourselves, with one another and with nature.

And that's the work I'd like to spend the rest of my life doing.

I know I can't do that alone.
None of us can.

This isn't my invitation to buy something.
It's my invitation to build something.

Together.

Because I believe the future isn't something that simply happens to us.
It's something we choose to create.

The systems we live inside shape who we become.
But perhaps we've forgotten something equally important.

Systems don't create people. People create systems.

Which means we can choose to build better ones. Together.

This is the final reflection in my series, Truths From Inside the System.

Thank you for walking alongside me.
